I found this in an Iceland priced at £1.25 for 1.5L. There was a selective of different flavours there too.

Seen there were no preservatives and the little person on my shoulder telling me to do it got the better of me.
So I bought 4 of them and intend to use a sachet of the Lalvins EC-1118 I have left.

Probably add some more sugar to raise the OG as i checked the apple juice and this was lower (apple juices Ive used before tend to be around 1.045 mark)
Maybe throw a small bit of strong black tea in there too for tannins (idk why, just because I guess)
and I have some yeast nutrient i can add too.

What will it come out like? Who knows.
Will it be tasty? If somebody has tried this specific stuff before let me know but for the sake of a 5er.
The juice itself is pretty devoid of flavour so don't have great expectations.
May end up trying the rest too, because at that price, why not?

If it comes out well then I may have a nice refreshing watermelon wine thing (I use the term loosely lol)

Am I going to do it right? Probably not but I might as well have a bit of craic.

So that previous statement being said...
Any recommendations from supermarket juice wine makers that would help me in the right direction? Acidity adjustments or anything I could do to help this in the right direction before I throw it all into my demijohn tomorrow?

These juice drinks are no good for wine if you look there is only 10% juice in the carton you need to use 100% juice and stick to 2.5 litres in the demijohn -

This thread explains it all and shows the method -

Ahh okay I'll have a read at that, thanks Chippy!

Just as I bought so much of the Del Monte and need to use the yeast I'll still have a play anyway. There's no way I'm drinking 6L of the stuff so gives me something to play with

Keep it and use it to make the recipe below you are only using 2.5 litres of 100% juice so use the cartons to top up instead of tap water ;)
