How would/do I measure the deadspace in my mash tun?

Measure in 5 pints / a couple of litres (whichever system you work to) of water then measure what you get out of the tap. Subtract one from t'other.

Depends what calculation you use. I use a separate fudge figure for the grain absorption ratio :thumb:
