Dark wheat beer (Dunkleweizen) AG With pictures

What sort of flow rate do you use?
Think I need to read up on Herms it sounds and ideal way of raising mash temps for weissbiers etc.

no idea but it would empty (i now use pump for every action now not just herms) my pot just a bit faster than a syphon does

Pittsy - any update on how this brew turned out? After a successful 1st Hefeweizen, I'm interested in trying a Dunkelweizen...

Yes i was supposed to report back ,
Very nice drink this , i would say those that ain't too into wheats and like there ales may well like this 1 . Nice rich red/brown colour and has a nice banana aroma , slight banana in taste and very malty , also a bit of sweetness . Similar to a standard wheat but less esters and clove with more malt and a hint of rich dark taste.
I'm very pleased with this 1 but room for a little improvement .
My next batch will include some carawheat instead of the caraamber and i will drop the munich 1 but will do longer decotion to help with colour .
