Thinking of making a straightforward 4%er and flavouring it with ground dandelion root and Burdock root (friend's request/challenge).

Anyone done this or similar? Wondering about when to add, and how much... Into the mash? Last 10 minutes of boil?

Any thoughts/general herbal anecdotes much appreciated.

I don't know much about hombrew yet but I do know plants, and burdock has strong anti-fungal/antibacterial properties so I would assume it would need to be added after any yeast etc. has done it's stuff other than that sounds nice :thumb:

Ah, good point.. Don't want to be cooling my yeast lol. Starting to think maybe boil up a syrupy tea with the powdered roots and bash that in the secondary when the finings go in...
