Best of luck will be interesting to hear how you get on. Yes its annoying ditching beer but then again i really enjoy drinking so not gonna worry too much. If i don't get a fridge this summer will be trying it again this Autumn. . Bit of a problem for me freezing water as the freezer is crammed full (mainly hops) much to the joy of the Mrs. She did enjoy my first bash though which i didn't so not all lost. :)

Well I bought one and put 10L of ice in there at about 2PM. I'll check it again at about 7pm to see how it's doing. You do need lots of ice for this kind of thing as well as my FVcool bag. Low tech but (my cool bag at least) it works

I went to throw my second lager down the sink and thought i better try a bottle first and was pleasantly shocked. Not that clear but taste was not far off. 4 months in bottle though to become drinkable. Next time i will try a Black Lager brewed at ale temps with the Cali Common yeast cake.

Hey Beercat

Solution may be to try brewing a Kolsch. It is a German beer, from Cologne, that looks and tastes very much like a lager, but is fermented at ale temperatures.

Whitelabs do a Kolsch yeast.
