Off to prague for a few days tomorrow and knowing that it is a country well renowned for it's beer I'm keen to sample some. So any suggestions as to what I must sample whilst there?
I have had Budvar and quite liked it (even though I can't stand budweiser) when I visited Czechoslovakia as it was known then.

Go to ratebeer.com, do an advanced search, choose Czech Republic and select 'highest rating'.

Hi Labowner ive been there loads of times love the place, any of the Budvars or Pils there all great beers:thumb: wish i was going:-x

I've read that you can get unfiltered and unpastuerised Pilsner Urquell that's served from these enormous oak barrels. It's supposed to be abso-bloody-lutely fantastic. Might be worth seeing if you can track any of that down?

Read about that on the website clibit mentioned. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for it, cheers :-)

Pilsner Urquell is the daddy of beers (in my humble opinion)!

Krusovice is also pretty good, they do some darker beers not just lagers.

You will struggle to find a poor beer there no matter what you do. Enjoy.

Back to reality after a great week of fantastic beers 🍻
Didn't find Pilsner Urquell unfiltered but did get unfiltered Staropramen and it was gorgeous.
Not a bad beer to be had, I really enjoyed the Kozel dark beer, very easy drunk :)
