That's funny, strange the species of "yeast" that infects humans is completely different to the brewers yeast. I was not aware that the human infecting one produced alcohol in a significant amount, interesting. T
 
I spoke to an academic at Paisley university in the early '90s. He said that yeast had colonised his gut through drinking real ale. He'd been "cured", but I can't remember how.
"Experts" I spoke to afterwards said it was impossible, but maybe not?
He bought a spectrophotometer from me. You could have used it to measure your ABV for only the price of a couple of thousand hydrometers.
 
Friend of mine had this in the 1980s the hospital advised him to stop drinking Abbot ale, as a real ale. He changed to lager and got better.
