Crystal hops

I grabbed some crystal pellets from ebay a while ago, being knocked out.
Have done a small extract APA type beer with Challenger to bitter and additions of Crystal along with a Crystal dry hop and although only tasted from the FV upon bottling, have found it to be rather bland overall. Perhaps i should have hopped it up a tad more!.Nothing unpleasant infact quite nice but just unhoppy! Anyone brewed with these at all?

I've used 100g of these as part of a brewdog punk ipa - no idea what it tastes like yet but lovely citrussy orange-tangerine smell when I opened the packet!

Ok ta
perhaps i should have up'd the hops.Don't really know what i expected to be honest, perhaps something punchy along the lines of Cascade!. May well be different once carbed up.
