 Can anyone help, I mash at least every other week I add camden and 17ml CRS the night before in my fermenter ready to transfer 10litres to the HLT in the morning .I add 8grms of DLS to the grist dry. I then add 7 grmsl of DLS to the boil . After I have mashed and boiled I ferment. I have a build up of salts on the inside of the fermenter which I assume to be the residue of the liquor treatment. I have had no problems regarding the finished beer but the fermenter is clear and it looks wrong.Does anyone have any idea what it is and how to remove it, the fermenter being plastic is not easy to remove the residue ? I will not scratch it.

I use phosphoric acid to get rid of it. Nasty stuff.

Coke contains it but i have no idea if it's concentrated enough to work.
