Crown capper question?

Hi can I use a crown capper and caps on twist neck bottles?

Not sure but I wouldn't expect so.. :?
Try get hold of Magners cider bottles from recyling bottle banks or pub bins. :thumb:

I would say no. A while ago one of my drinking buddies gave me an assortment of bottles. I filled a batch then went through capping them. I came to one and the damn thing wouldn't cap. I persevered, the air turned blue, 'til I has a closer look at the bottle and it was a screw top.

Most screwtops don't have the lip round the neck for the cap to grab. A very few do, the ones that come with what look like crown caps but they can be screwed off.
