Just thought i would give Crossmyloof a big thumbs up. Since diving back into the world of homebrew and being based up here in the Highlands, i thought aquiring ingredients etc and postage/delivery would be a bit of an issue. Not a problem, have used Crossmyloof a few times now for grain, hops yeast etc and have to say the service and costs for me have been superb. Everything arrives quick, everything is superbly packaged and usually a freebie thrown in. Ordered my latest batch of goods yesterday afternoon and bingo all arrived this morning. Thank you!

Sometimes get bags of hop dust and other bits thrown in. If only all companies were like them

100% top notch quality service, in 5 years i had one issue which wasn't their fault, the parcel company lost my package i phoned them and they sent a replacement out same day any way about 2 hours later the original one turned up, so i phoned them to late it was on it's way so i offered to pay for it no no it's fine have it on us, so yeah fantastic company to deal with

What's hop dust and how do you use it?

It is the dust that comes off the hops when they are bagging them up in foil packs.
I use it just the same as hop pellets they save it and foil pack it and give it away to customers some companies would put it in your hops when they are weighing them out but not CML they make sure you are getting full pellets and give the dust away.
My last dust bag was 80g of Progress so will use that in a ale

I suppose what I was really wondering is whether its higher in lupulins, which I imagine would form a dust more easily or is it very fine vegetable matter or both.

I love CML. postage at a reasonable price (I know it's included in the price of the ingredients) but it means I can buy hops/yeast for 2 brews at a time without worrying about £6.99 in postage. I no longer bulk buy hops too get my money's worth, so the freezer isn't full of half filled bags anymore!

I consider it as just crushed pellets-I would regard it high it Lupulins as the glands have been crushed as in normal pellets

Like CML even though they have never sent space dust. To be honest I err on the side of having too many hops already.
