Hi all
What is better counterflow chiller or immersion chiller any advice apreciate

Cheers bluebar

It all depends on what you want to use. I have an IC because I don't want to be bothered having to flush a CFC out and always wonder if I got everything. I drop mine into the boil 15 min from the end to sanitize it. Then I just give the IC a quick rinse off after each use and I'm good to go.

Other folks find CFCs just as easy to use. It all comes down to personal preference.

I use an IC.

Basically pipe hot wort into the FV.

Stick the IC in and start cooling, that way the hot wort sterilises it.

Nah mate you want to cool the wort in the boiler if using an immersion chiller, that way the hops filter out the cold break
