The last time I used these I remember they were a pain to cut and fit around the waste pipe. I am using them again on my new house and wondered if anyone had any tips?

I knackered a few cuts by trying to use a jigsaw, for the straight cuts I found the angle grinder the easiest way.
I used it on top of my cold frame and only had one tricky cut, think I remember using a soldering Iron to melt through it...but then I like bodging about :D
For the waste pipe you should be able to find a cowl to neaten it up and hide the cut... Think I've seen them in wickes or on screwfix

Hi Robsan77
you can buy a waste pipe seal that fits over the waste pipe, from the builders merchants.
this will then seal your corrugated plastic roofing :thumb:

Thanks:

Its the best way for cutting without splitting the sheet that I'm after. Particularly across the corrugation.

When I cut some I let them get warm indoors and used some very sharp scissors .

get some scissors like these

but as BB says make sure the sheet is warm first

Great tips. Got no heating in the house yet so that job will have to wait until the gas central heating system is in.

Those scissors look good. what are they called?

Would a tile cutter do the job???

google cut anything scissors :thumb:

I have a pair if you're anywhere near Cov

the sheet needs to be warm to stop it shattering a hot water bottle applied to the area for a while would do it if you are careful

I seem to remember that when I cut mine I had an hairdrier blowing on the area that was been cut. :hmm:

I used a dremmel Rob, small disk and followed a pen line. Worked ok for me
:D
