Looking at the different lagers and wondering what to do next. Something like corona or sol would be great. The closest thing i have seen is the Coopers Cerveza. I have been reading a few reviews and a few have said its nothing like sol or corona and ends up fairly dark.

Has anyone had any experience with this lager or can you reccommend something that would mimik corona or sol?

Thanks

I brewed the coopers cerveza before i went AG and it was pretty good - not quite like sol or corona but definetley not dark in colour - but quite drinkable with a wedge of lime ;)
I found that the coopers kits needed a good 4 to 5 weeks to condition in the bottle - have fun brewing and drinking :drink:

What have you brewed so far? I brewed around 15 kits before i went AG - i found the coopers lager and cerveza really good and would reccomend both - my tastes are more towards ale, bitter and stouts but i do like a good lager every so often. I found the cheaper geordie and youngs kits a bit **** but the more exspensive 3kg kits are pretty good (woodfordes, muntons, milestone etc) I brewed the coopers with brewing sugar (around 2quid a kg) and also just with household sugar and there was not much difference - the forum is great for info and advice - i brewed my first kit last may and brew from grain now!! :drink:

on my first one at the moment which is a youngs lager kit. Seen some good reviews about the coopers stuff, so thought i would pay the few extra quid and hopefully get a better beer.

I started out with a coopers kit but then tried a youngs and found the youngs turned out better for me, although I did supplement it with a beer enhancer kit so that may have helped?

Let us know how you get on if you try the coopers mexican as I'm thinking of giving that a go myself
