Hi,

A couple of stupid question, but are my gas/ beer posts back to front, and how flush should the lid sit within the moulding on the top of the keg ( I.e should it be perfectly flat)

The long dip tube should be connected to the out, use a grey connector on the gas in and a black connector on the beer out line. Although some people swap the grey and black connectors, using a black connector down the out side as to push the CO2 up through the beer rather than at the top. I just connect grey to the gas in side, short dip tube, and a black connector to the beer out side, long dip tube. I can’t really tell what you mean about the lid, with the rubber washer mine fits fairly flush but not completely

Thanks for your reply, I’ll swap the posts around before I fill it. I think the lids fine, I just wasn’t sure how flush it’d site when clamped shut.

Very important: the gas post is notched around the bottom.

They look very similar but they're actually sized slightly differently such that if you put the wrong disconnect on the post it can then become very hard to get off.
