I'll be doing a Coopers austrilian Lager Kit next week and I'm wondering how aggressive the fermantiation is?

I have to go on a business trip for 3 days half way through the first fermentation and I'm worried I'll come back to foam everywhere.

My first brew was a youngs and it was quite a quiet fermentation.

Thanks

The first 3 days is the peak. After that it should all settle as long as temps are consistent :)

First time doing a lager in Bottles.

I'm using the Coopers PET and priming with Coopers Carbonation drops with 1.5 drops.

So don't really want any bottle bombs down the line.

Started one off last week, it did a bit but nowhere near disturbing the FV lid, you'll be fine.
Still sat there in its bed for another week before I check the gravity.

Yeah.

My plan is 11 days check gravity 2/3 days check again. If its the same I bottle it for racking for a week.

Then into the loft it goes.

I started my Coopers Aussie on Saturday. Brewed with malt extract, dextrose, honey and demarara sugar and filled slightly short to about 22 Litres. It has been the first kit that didn't touch the lid of my FV. Just a nice constant head for 3 days.

Sounds great.

I've just bought a Wilko Fermenation bin with the screw on top and airlock so I should be ok. If it gets to eager I'll stick some PVC tubing in and let the foam get out that way.
