Hi all,

Can i have some guidance please, which is a better kit for a stout.

Wikos dark velvet stout.

Or
Coopers stout.

And if people have done any tweaks to either and the best time to leave to condition.

I was thinking of brewing march and then drinking at xmas 17.

Cheers

Not done a Wilko stout, but done both Coopers Stouts, my personal favourite is the Irish stout, others may choose the Original. However the difference between the two brands is you get more malt in the Coopers can.
In my experience the Coopers stouts are ready to drink after two weeks conditioning, but do get better up to about two months on, when they peak. Personally I wouldn't have thought leaving them for nine months will be of much benefit, although I might be wrong.
Finally these are better served from a PB, when you can get the creamy head characteristic of a pub poured pint.
