Hi

This is my second attempt at a home brew so thought I'd go with a mexican

The brew has been on 8 days an looks like it has stopped bubbling

First reading before yeast was 1034
It's now reading 1010

Does this need to come down some more ?

I'm looking a 1 tsp white sugar per 500 ml bottle

I made a cider earlier and use the same sugar to bottle ratio but the fizz in them is very weak and so is the flavour

I brewed this (lager) short as advice on here seem to suggest it an be a little weak in flavour

If anyone has any tips it would be appreciated

I've nearly finished drinking my only brew of Coopers Mexican Cerveza. What a nice drink it is/was too.
Lovely and clear, a light drink perfect for sunny days, especially with a good chunk of lime in the glass as the taste as noted is a little weak. ( but nice )
I went for half tsp of sugar for priming in each 500 bottle and it was more than adequate. I bottled some in swing top Grolsch bottles and a couple of them opened with a tremendous " pop " . It can't be ruled out that some bottles might have got 2 x half tsp by mistake....
The brew was 5 weeks old from starting to tasting and was excellent at that stage It got better every day.

I brewed this recently and it did seem to stick for a few days at 1020 then all of a sudden started fermenting again and ended up at 1004. It was in the FV for 13 days in total.

I used 1 coopers carbonation drop per 500ml bottle and it was nice and fizzy.

Have to say it is a great drink, nice and light.

I brewed this at 21ltrs using 1.5 kg can of lme
og was 1050 the fg was 1012 stayed in fv for two weeks abv about 5 %
was very nice & didn't last long

recommended

I hit 1.008 FG with this and my hydrometer reads 0.004 high so it sounds like it's maybe stalled or still going at it.
