I have to say a big thanks for all the help from this site, it as all been of some use, especially seeing that i am the ubber noob when it comes to brewing.
Having purchased my first brew kit from 'Brew' forum recommendations :thumb: i chose the wherry beer kit as part of the package, it was 'ok', but a bugger to clear, so i then decided 'GO LAGER', what a choice i had, i decided on the ever popular Coopers australian lager kit, £9.99 Wilkos :thumb: Bargain
Did the kit did the checks asked a few questions here for confirmation and back up :thumb: waited and waited (hard bit) and on my arrival from work today (5pm) i thought to myself, suns out i am hot - pour a cool lager from fridge, i did and here we all are, really nice flavour and a very smooth drink, very impressed. Off to wilkos for the wife tomorrow another lager me thinks...or shall i go for a lager?
:drunk:

i just brewed a couple of coopers- first the lager with beer enhancer and 500g white sugar - which took it over 5% - have tried a couple and they are great - gonna leave it a little longer though!!
Also just bottled a coopers mexican cerveza!! Really good kits - woodfordes are great too - especially if you have a keg, try the admirals reserve!!

Ive got this brewing at the moment, my first ever brew.

Its been in exactly a week, made to kit instructions, and the hydrometer reading is now about 1009ish. I would of take a reading yesturday to compare, but broke the hyrometer so had to get a new one today and do it. Do you recon this is about ready?

I suppose the best bet will be to leave it until tomorrow to see if is the same

Bottle. Im just doing it from the Coopers complete starter kit.

Ill test it again tomorrow.

if it stays around the 1.006 mark for a couple of days i`d go ahead and bottle!

this lager really benifits from 4+ weeks left in the bottle - try one a week and you`ll see the improvment!!
