Hi guys, this is only my second brew, never brewed before so i'm pretty new to this.

My recipe was the can plus 1kg Mutons kit enhancer, a 454g jar of honey and 100g of unrefined brown sugar, hopefully it will turn out lovely

The og is just below 1.050, expecting it to end around 1.010 if that sounds about right?

I plan to keg it after fermentation and was wondering how you'd go about priming the keg and what with? I would like to fit the beers style, aiming for pretty low carbonation with a decent head.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :D

For priming, mix approx. 85g of sugar/DME with just enough hot water to dissolve it and put this in your barrel just before you transfer from the FV. Leave this in the warm for a week and you should have enough CO2 for light carbonation.
Quite a nice kit the English bitter after a few weeks conditioning.

Thanks man, how does priming with demerara sugar sound?

It sounds good. Better than standard sugar but there could be slightly less carbonation.
I forgot to add any sugar and it is still fine albeit close to completely flat

Also how long did you leave it before it became a decent beer?

It has been in the bottle about 4 weeks and has vastly improved in that time.
I would have preferred this in a keg but they were all full.

For anyone interested - I barreled my bitter earlier with 90g of demerara after 8 days in the fv and it already tastes great! Better than many bitters i've had and it can only get better.

The fg was 1002 so is around 6%, a little higher than i planned but i'm not complaining ;).

So far i cannot recommend this kit enough and will definitely be doing again!

Cheers
