Hello,

I brewed a Coopers Lager kit on 26/12/2014 and left it for a week for Primary fermentation until 02//01/2015, at this point I then transferred it to bottles and got them in a warm place (20/21C) up until somewhere around 23/01/2015, at this point they then went into a cool place and a few days later I drank one, its was a perfectly clear drink and tasted great, was really happy with this, I then had a few more drinks that were a very similar taste. But now anytime I have one it has a funny bitter taste and is not enjoyable at all to be honest, just wondering if knows a common problem here or what could be wrong.

Thanks

Adam

If it is hop bitterness then it will subside with age. I say give it more time. 6 weeks in bottle isn't enough for me. I'd wait a min of 8 weeks and usually wait 3 months. I've experienced this a few times. if it continually gets more bitter after another couple of weeks then you may have an infection though :-/

Thanks for help mate. Just poured one now and its getting worst. Looks absolutly mint! Crystal clear and bubbling lovely. But the taste is starting to get really bitter and unpleasant :/ very gutted for first brew made :/ cheers
