How do you guys do it? - I have literally just realised that while yes I now have a keg full of lovley (I hope) IPA, I have no way to cool it for drinking :( Bad planning on my part I think or have I missed something?

Its a plastic keg btw...

You could try draping it with wet towels, the evaporation of the water has a cooling effect. This is still used today to cool down cask ales, for example where they are on gravity in the bar. Otherwise you could get some freezer blocks, attach them to the keg with bungees, and surround with bubble wrap. Many years ago Boots used to sell a system whereby a nunber of freezer blocks were placed in a harness around the plastic barrel and covered with a sort of duvet tailored to a barrel shape , it did work.If you are into DIY it should be no problem, alas, I am not.

a maxi beer chiller with 2 taps or a keggerator basically a fridge with the shelves removed and a stat connected to a STC1000 i think thats how they do it anyway

for simply results leave it in the shed (until weather gets better) most brews want a temp of around 7c some around 12c for ideal drinking or fill bath with cold water and pop it in for a helping hand to cool it down
