That's a beer I can get in the US.
The recipe thread on JBK that you linked to in the blog talks about culturing yeast from the bottle.
MIght have to give that a try.
 
Did you culture the yeast from a bottle by any chance?

Lovely beer though you can't beat drinking a pint of Old Man in the Black Bull after walking up the old Man.

I did think about making a yeast starter from a bottle of bluebird but all the bottle shops and supermarkets it tried did not have it. funny you can get it in the US but I couldn't in Scotland.

hmmm I must of missed it when I was in there :oops: . Might have another look when I am passing tonight.

I think a loweswater gold clone will be my next brew. I haven’t looked for a recipe yet but I think it’s my favorite Lakeland beer!
