Guys, got a query, I'm running XP pro and using open office for docs and outlook express as my mail.
Do any of you know how to put a spell checker on outlook express when Microsoft office isn't installed.
I'm using the Firefox spell checker app for internet typing but I'm not sure if it can be used with outlook :hmm:
I know the answer is probably staring me in the face but if you don't know what to look for you're on a hiding to nothing

Any help much appreciated.

How about using Mozilla Thunderbird as an email client? I think that it has a spellchecker installed.

When you installed it, did it give you the opportunity to do a custom instal? You can usually decline the toolbar and search engine garbage that way :thumb:

Cheers Tom

Yep, unticked the 2 boxes, pressed submit...took me back to the same screen, repeated...did the same, third time just installed the toolbars without the option...I stopped it part way through :x

I decided to give Mozilla Thunderbird a go and so far so good, just need to change the spell checker to UK English from US...hope it's an option

EDIT, UK dictionary downloaded...that was nice and easy...

Thanks chaps :thumb:
