Not so much these days but in my younger days certainly had nights in the tent when it got below 0. Typically though in April / May trips so at least it warmed up a bit in the morning. Had a decent sleeping bag and roll mat so generally stayed warm, probably had a few bevvies by the time I zipped myself into the sleeping bag too so that helped 😁

Coldest I've probably ever done was volunteering at work to take a satellite comms system up to Devil's Bridge in Wales so that it could be used to call in stage results for the Rally of Wales. I had two options as the money was a bit tight for the company, either get up really early to drive there in the morning or my option - camp overnight in February. Took two sleeping bags, slept in my mummy bag inside another bigger bag as it was set to hit about -5 to -6 °C overnight. Was fine though 🙂

I do that for living, if the night heater breaks, it can be quite tough.

I went camping near Aberdeen in Feb once, after drinking too much I got back in my tent and in the middle of the night woke to find myself not in my sleeping bag and had even forgotten to close the tent door 🤦 that was chilly. Been camping in snow once, it wasn't the warmest but was fun

I went wild camping in Scotland a few weeks ago, prepared for midges of course... got back home to realize I had ticks on me, never even saw them as three were on my back and one under my armpit.
