Hi Folks,

Does anyone know of anywhere to source either a full CO2 bottle or somewhere to get one filled near Glasgow.

I'm looking into getting a Corny and want to try and find a CO2 source before I commit!

Cheers

If norm has taught me one thing, it's find a friendly fire extinguisher company or a better still a friendly pub landlord. BOC etc. just aren't interested.

On my list I have:

Express Fuels (Scotland) Ltd, 789 South Street, Whiteinch, Glasgow G14 0BX Tel:0141 959 9991

I get mine from Russell Gas in Edinburgh. I tried a few places in Glasgow but didn't have any luck.

andymcintyre said he rents his mahoosive CO2 cylinder from AOC (I think!) for £2.50 a month, and so far a single fill has lasted him over a year... (he's over in Fife by the way)

how much does that cost you? what size bottles do you get?

It is about 11 quid or so for a refill, and 2 quid a month rental.

I don't know the size in weight but it's bloody massive, it will last you a year easily even if you brew and force carbonate a lot.

For any one that's interested,

I just spoke to express fuels in Whiteinch and they will do a 6.35kg cylinder for £16.47 with a £20 deposit for the cylinder...
