Hi,
A little while ago I brewed an IPA to a recipe I found online, with a few small tweaks. I was aiming for one of those hazy, tropical IPAs that seem to be all the rage. I've started drinking it.
The beer is really good. Really fruity and the hops really come across well. The problem is, it looks like crap. The picture on the site I used showed a hazy peach coloured beer. Now I was aiming for hazy, as that's a feature of the style but mine is more like mud. Far from peach I've got a grey brown.
I used the same amount of dry hop as the recipe called (170g) but I have 14l of wort rather than 19l. I think I let it sit in primary a 14 days rather than 10 as well.
Do you think it is just the heavy hope amounts that have caused this or has something else gone wrong? Its a great beer and I intend to make it again. Ironing out the look is something of a must...
Cheers..
