Cloudy wine when chilled.

I have done a few WOW RGJ & apple and all have been okay. My latest batch has all cleared nicely before bottling and remain so until I put a bottle in the fridge. Within a couple of hours the wine has clouded up again. This has happened with a couple of bottles and when removed from the fridge they clear again over a day or so. Any ideas folks?
 
Its called chill haze I have had this before and it seems to happen to some types of wine and not others, it may not look great but it does not effect the taste and does no harm.
 
Thanks Chippy. I wondered if it may be that. This was the first time i had made a 12 bottle WOW rather than just a 6 and wondered if perhaps i had forgotten to double something up which may have resulted in this happening.

I didn't mention pectolace as you said they were clear before going in the fridge just to rule it out did you add pectolace at at the begging?

Definitely. I had to buy some specifically beforehand.
 
You need to chill it to the serving temperature before adding finings. The haze that appears at that temperature is then removed by the fining. If this is not an option, as Chippy says, chill haze doesn't affect the taste.
 
I never chill before adding finings and it's not a requirement of any fining instructions I have ever read, he says the wine was clear before he put it in the fridge.
 
Correct. If you use finings at room temp it will be perfectly clear at room temp. If you then put it in the fridge for a couple of hours, it will probably have 'chill haze'.
