hi all, just bottled my coopers lager (aussie type) the lager was still quite cloudy. what causes this ? it tastes & smells great but cloudy. i used youngs brewing sugar 1kg along with the lager kit & yeast. fermented for 10 days tested with hydrometer then put into 5ooml plastic bottles with carbonating drops 1 per bottle. any advice welcome, cheers.

The cloudiness is just the yeast in suspension (well it could also be protiens but as its a kits I'll stick to the yeast). You are looking for bottle conditioning so your beer will go through a second fermentation in the bottle. Once the yeast has done its thing it should clean up after itself and settle out.

Best bet is to leave in a warm place for a fortnight and then move somewhere colder.
