Hi all, I have had a lot of success over the last couple of months using 5 gallon Beer Kits. After the fermentation I usually fill about 6 x 75cl bottles then put the rest in a pressure barrel. I have used a John Bull lager kit and the bottles settled quickly, are crystal clear and taste great. The barrel however, although tastes very good is still cloudy. It has been sitting for 6 weeks and I was hoping to use it this weekend.
So do I drop in some beer finings or leave it for another time?
best regards
PB

Before you do, make the gelatine up properly, which is to take 1/2 a pint of boiled water and allow to cool to 80 c, add the contents of a sachet of gelatine, and stir to dissolve, once dissolved, add 1/2 a pint of beer stirring to mix, then add gelatine mix to the beer stirring gently to disperse it in the beer .(you don't need a mad mixing to get it to disperse try not to disturb any sediment)

Couldn't get any gelatine but picked up some Young's beer finings. Anyone had success with this, or should I just wait until I get the gelatine?
