I have been brewing for many years, but have only recently experienced problems with cloudy homebrewed beer which has been kegged. The two beers which are affected by this problem did not have finings added when being kegged. My question is, is it possible to add finings after the beer has been kegged ? If so how do I go about this and what sort of finings should I use ? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply, I brew from kits. The two kits I am having problems with are Brewmaker IPA and Victorian Bitter, both of which I have used for years with no problems. Both barbells are rather gassy.

It sounds to me as you have barrelled them early if they are producing too much gas or have over done the sugar for secondary in the barrel. This means the beer is still producing CO2 and that means it will not have had enough time to stop and settle out.
Regards using finings in the barrel the answer is yes and that will aid clearing but you may get the first few pints still cloudy as the finings will settle the crap to the bottom. I use Gelatine before kegging usually to clear my beers if they are causing a issue and you can also use this in the barrel if you so want. Hope that helps?

A few more questions might help, how long did you ferment for before barrelling and did you cold crash the beer also?
