Hi all, just tried my #6 & 7 ag brews am very happy how they taste but they are not very clear, you can see through them but not crystal clear.when i first started i used Dave Lines recipes (ie used irish moss & gelatine) also it was winter so i had no problem after fermentation to keep it cold after bottling, i now dont use gelatine and i dont have a spare fridge to cool, which one do you think is causing my beer failing to clear.

I think you would need to give people more information, such as type of beer, yeast, bottled, barreled, OG, SG, age etc.

I use Irish moss, but I've never found the need for refrigeration or gelatine.

sorry for lack of info,i have only made bitters ie london pride, directors, bass etc, have only ever used s-04 yeast, as i said the only difference is i have not used gelatine for my last couple of brews and its been so warm here for last couple of months, coolest room/outbuildings have only dropped to 22c.

john I don't use any finnings and dispense from a cornie the first dozen pints are always a bit unbright but then they clear. I leave my brews about a month or so before drinking. If you are conditioning in the barrel then it will take a few weeks longer to drop bright but it will.

sorry again heads a bit fuzzie this morning :drunk: i also forgot to say i only bottle my beers.
