cleaning coopers PET bottles - is this ok?

Am on my second batch of beer so i need to start thinking about cleaning the bottles. I keep reading about it being a faff so not sure if i'm missing something here...

after i pour my beers i just rinse the bottle out straight away with some warm water and give it a good shake to make sure no sediment left in the bottom. Do this a couple of times then leave to dry.

When i come to bottle the next batch i was planning on just using starsan and a bottle rinser before bottling.

Is that all i need to do?

It's more or less all I do with my glass bottles. Although I store the bottles with 5ml is of starsan in and a cap (plastic in the case of crown capped bottles). Then on bottling day, I just remove the cap tip out the starsan and bottle.

Always diluted. . . I have a 1L Sprayer with diluted starsan in , and just give each bottle a quick spray, cap and shake
 
This might not be absolutely correct but I have never had a bottle go off.
When I have drunk a bottle (I use magners cider bottles) I empty and wash it up straight away. I store them in a big plastic box on their sides. When it is time to bottle I make up a solution of campden tabs and citric acid. (I tab and 1 heaped teaspoon of acid to 500ml boiled water. I just funnel and shake this between bottles, and then rinse with cold tap water.
About every third time, I make a brush from a bamboo barbeque stick and a bit of washing up sponge, and give each botttle a good wipe inside (as per Dave Line who said scratching them with a bottle brush was not the best way, and WIPING was better).
( I now wait for the scientific flack :nono: )
 
I rinse my bottles out under the tap once I've drunk the beer. My bottles get kept behind my shed in plastic tubs underneath a tarp. Not the best storage but no-where else at the moment.

When I am readying for a bottling session I get appropriate bottles from the store, into a couple of large tubs. I cut up enough squares of tin foil (about 2" square) for all the bottles I am using. Then it's a case of turning my kitchen sink into a production line.

First I fill the large sink (have a 1.5 bowl jobbie) with soapy hot water. Wash the bottle in this, rinse in the small sink then line up on a towel on the worktop.

Then I fill the large sink with water, some WVP. Dunk a few bottles at once, filling them up. Leave them for 10 mins then empty, rinse under running water in the small sink. Place on the worktop. Cover top of bottle with a square of tin foil, pinching it on tight. Continue this process until all bottles sanitised and tops covered to protect.

I try to fit this in with a day when I'm at home, I can do this through the day whilst doing other things, that way I'm not standing there for hours cleaning and steralising.

Could you direct me me to said caps please Aleman?, a 100 or so of those would be very useful. I use a bit of tin foil at the moment.
