Hello all -
I was a little late brewing my Christmas porter this year and I should have enough time for it to condition to an acceptable flavour by xmas (although, it will probably reach its prime in February).
I've never racked a beer before and I'm asking for opinions on whether it will improve the conditioning of the beer if I rack for a week before bottling, or whether I should just go straight from PFV to bottle in order to leave enough time for the head to develop.
I'm ready to be persuaded either way.
(and yes, I realise timescales are tight and the proper answer to this question is get the beer on in September)
