Hi Everyone,

I'm looking at making a strongish brew for my annual camping trip with the lads. Only cos it cuts back on the number of bottles we have to carry. I was thinking about a 'normal' brew with a jar of the cheap health shop malt extract in it to bump up OG.

Anybody else tried this?

Cheers,

DC

if you want to bump up % of brew using belgian candy sugar is a great thing to use as you don't get that crappy '' i used sugar in my brew cuz it taste like cider etc'' thing and you also can't tell how strong it is , such as brewing a 7% brew only tastes like a 4% ish but beware the stronger the brew the longer needed to condition

Cheers Pittsy,

Might give that a go, I assume that the candy sugar can be substituted for the candy syrup? Im sure Ive seen a how to on here...
