They'll probably disappear into obscurity like "Progress" that was reported as declining decades ago.

"Progress" has disappeared hasn't it?

I hope not. Challenger is on my list of hops to try out.

I'm guessing not tbh. Because of the increasing expense of the popular American hops such as citra I think people will turn from the more 'exotic' hops and make to more local, domestic ones. I can see a revival in UK hops hops such as challenger

Not altogether. I picked some up from Worcester Hop Shop earlier this year for the princely sum of £2.40. Now I just need a recipe.

I'm being... what's the word?

"Progress" is still out there, as are "Fuggles" which it was a substitute for, that's what I'm getting at. "Challanger" was a high alpha replacement for "Goldings", then we got "First Gold", and so it goes on. "Goldings" are doing pretty well though.

Yeah, OK. Sort of ironic but not exactly - I can't think of the word either.
