Caxton's hop enhancer - ?

Just picked up a Caxton's Real Ale kit, and there's a funny sachet in there that doesn't look like much, claiming to be hop enhancer. Sounds like a bit of a con to me - I'm sure boiling a few hops in with the malt'd work much better than anything a tiny plastic bag could do - but does anyone know what's actually in there?

Maltodextrin and Hop Oil, though I have no idea what effect this will have on the finished product. I bunged it in mine and steeped some hops. Have a good one :thumb:
