Has anybody tried this beer? it is probably my fav' beer of all time and it has just been crowned best beer in the land!

How easy would it be to "clone" it? Currently it is only really available in the Nottingham area and unfourtunatly I don't get back there as often as I would like so would be well up for attempting a clone to see me through to the next time I get back there for the real thing!!!

I've had many a pint both on draught & in the bottle, you're right - it's a lovely drop :thumb:

Not got a clue about a clone recipe though, hopefully someone will help us out

I've just emailed castle rock asking about their Elsie Mo, they replied and said this:

Hi Luke,

Thanks for your support. I'll ask our brewer to drop you a few lines,
without giving too much away of course!

Kind regards

So it might be worth asking, I'll let you know what they tell me. I love pretty much all of the Castle Rock beers shame I don't live in Nottingham.

Presume nothing came of this?
That being the case, anyone got anything remotely close to this fantastic ale?
Thanks

Simon.

Hi All,

Agreed - a great pint. The Lion in Forest Fields / Hyson Green area had this on a few week ago whan I was down visting my bro. Very nice on a warm day.

The newly decorated bottle in Tesco states :

Cascade
Centennial
Chinook

I asked a similar question a while ago and Darcey came back with the following :

2/3 low colour marris otter
1/2 larger malt

I think Darcey may have the recipe as I understand he has been in touch with the head brewer but I've not seen his name on the fourum recently.

I too would like a go at this one if anyone can shed any light.

Cheers

A
