Cask Marque Award Granted to the Back Bar in Keswick

Staff at the Back Bar are currently celebrating their recent accolade of the Cask Marque Award for their beer and cellar management, which has been awarded by the independent Cask Marque Trust, independent assessors, qualified brewers who check all cask ales on sale for temperature, appearance, aroma and taste.

The Back Bar passed both of their tests and they are now listed on the free Caskfinder App which enables users to find Cask Marque pubs selling great quality real ale. Dale Pitchers, Deputy General Manager for the Inn on the Square and Back Bar commented, “It’s fantastic to receive this award, as we’ve been working hard to achieve the Cask Marque status.”

“The Back Bar is perfect venue to have a pint or two, watch live sports, play pool or throw a few darts. Our tasty new menu includes the amazing Proper Scotch Egg or our delicious No 1 House Burger with sweet potato fries. And our Chips n Dips with a pint of local ale is really popular when the sports are playing!”

The Back Bar can be found at the rear of the Inn on the Square and is a dog-loving, family-friendly pub providing drinks and meals.
