I'm rather sad as it was very handy for getting my S30 cylinders exchanged and I can't find anywhere else local to swap them now.

The barry home brew shop does the S30's i think?

Any details on them? like an address or phone number? I can get to Barry without too much grief, not as handy as the home brew crew, but good enough at a push :)

Here's the link

http://www.homebrewcentre.com/

It's on the road down to Barry Island

Lovely people but if you're travelling any distance phone before you leave as their opening hours can be a bit erratic, last time I was there I only just caught them - they were closing early to watch the rugby (rugby!! I could understand if it was football but that's the Welsh for you  )

Cheers

No worries, Google was my friend and I now have my S30 cylinders refilled.

They had a decent range of hops, but sadly only the one ale yeast, and that a bit of an unknown quantity, Munton's I think, but they didn't know the strain.

If I understood them correctly they don't stock grains, but can get them in to order if given notice, so when I'm due I'll price check them against the internet bods.

I seem to remember they had a tiny amount of grain when I was last there (and even then only 500g bags) they seem nice enough in there though although I got the impression that any information gathered from them would be rather "dated"

Prices don't seem too bad but their "eccentric" opening hours mean that I almost never shop there :( even though I could walk there from home in about 10 mins!
