I know this subject has come up in the past, and years ago you could just pick up the boxes from supermarkets that were for people who buy wine.

I also know you can buy them online, indeed I think one of the forum sponsors stocks them. But it's never seemed very cost-effective, you either have to buy a massive quantity, or pay a high price, or the cost of P&P is the killer.

Yesterday I went into the cheese shop in Northampton, and like many posh delis and food shops they sell fancy bottled beers, and will put a selection in boxes for you. So I just bought some empty boxes - easy and cost-effective. He was quite happy to sell them, I'm sure he made a good profit.

I did have it in mind to simply trace / copy the design onto an old cardboard box in order to make more, but the cardboard used is very thin but strong, completely different to what they make boxes from. So that's a no-go unless I can figure out where to get the right cardboard.
