Can spent hops kill slugs?

A hop that was lying around the garden after brewday yesterday has a dead slug attached to it, I reckon it was initially attracted to it because it would have been soaked in sugary wort but then as it started feeding a chemical in the hop has poisoned it.

Another reason why beer is good for mankind :grin:

Just a quick warning about leaving hops around. If you have dogs please dont do this as hops are toxic to dogs. I cant be certain re:fully boiled copper hops but I wouldn't risk it.
