Basically I have a party in 4weeks 2days. Its round my house and I would love to have some home made wine for it.
I've looked at the how to make WOW thanks to "moley's" post.

The "how to" says 2-4 weeks to ferment depending on temp.
What it the best temp to ferment in as close to 2 weeks as poss?

Using wine finings, 1 week to clear.

So technically I can have it bottled within the timescale, but will it taste any good that early after bottling? max 1 week in bottle before drinking.

Is there any other way to speed things up?
Or any other known good recipe thats quicker?

Sorry for all the questions but ive never made wine before, but have a wilko's strawberry wine kit in a DJ right now, so far 24hours in. :)

Thanks for all the help! :D

Orange wine won't taste too clever after such a short time unfortunately. It'll do the job though ;)

Personally, if i was on that timescale, I'd replace some of the orange juice with apple juice and reduce the tannin a bit.
I've drunk these types of fruit wines within a week or so of bottling and they've certainly been drinkable.

If its a bit harsh always remember you could use it as a base for a punch.

Pour in bowl/jug with fruit juice and chopped fruit (apple, banana and orange slices) It looks impressive to the uninitiated ;)

Using it in a punch, I dont like that idea.... I LOVE it! Perfect for a party!

I will start some tomorrow, hopefully have enough for either a couple bottles or punch and some bottles to leave for a few weeks longer.

Thanks for the replies!!

I've got my orange WOW made and bottled in just over 4 weeks. Bottled last night and after trying a bit, it tastes quite sharp. I've got an early Halloween party next week and I'm just going to add some lemonade to it and hopefully it will be ok. The 4 weeks did include just over 2 weeks to clear and to mature a little bit.

Hope that helps and good luck with it!

My WOW was bottled on the 24th day, SG down to 0.996, using Wilkos Gervin ale yeast. Tastes great, but its now in the garage for a few weeks to improve. Its crystal clear tho, with the help of Wilkos wine finings. I've put another gallon on straight away

If temperature can be kept at 20C or slightly above, then it's quite possible to ferment out, clear and bottle a WOW inside 2 weeks.

That isn't necessarily a good thing.

It will get them all ratted! But they might have a bad hangover and some temporary blindness and breathing difficulties!

Worth it I think!
