im just wondering if its possible to secondary ferment and prime in a fv then bottle .. say after a week or 2 .. to help reduce sediment in the bottle? or would the beer just go flat ? what got me thinking about this is i watched a documentry about london breweries and on of the micro-breweries bottled from keg

You need to prime the beer in the vessel it will be served from, so either the bottle or the keg.

The purpose of priming is so a little bit of fermentation will take place inside the final vessel, which produces CO2 under pressure which carbonates the beer.

If you want to bottle pre carbonated beer it needs to be done either in a pressurised system to maintain the pressure in the bottle, or it can be done by transferring the beer when it is very cold, CO2 stays in solution better at colder temperatures.

ok cheers for that ..... maybe ill just leave in another vessel after primary for a week or so then prime in the bottle to condition
