I have had a look in the net, but can't find an answer. I have brewed some beer, and ended up with 21 litres at a gravity (temp correted) of 1.048. It needs to end up at 1.038. Are there any calculators available to work out how much water I need to add?

Thanks,
Jake

(21x48) + (Nx0) = (21+N)x38
38N = 1008 - 798
N = 210 / 38
N = 5.5

About 5 and a half litres extra water should do you, if you want an OG of 1.038. :thumb:

I understand where you're comming from and how you want to be as accurate as possible.
I've found in home brewing you need to use a little bit of "if it aint broke, don't fix it"! :D
