Calculating ABV from OG and FG

I have come across a different way of calculating ABV and it is 1% ABV below my existing method of calculating. No idea how to proceed so fellow brewers what is ABV if OG = 1.061 and FG = 1.031 PLEASE

correct 3.94% if you remember 30 points difference is 4%(3.94) it is easy to make a calculated guess but use the brewers friend calculator as MmmmCitra says

I always do like this, OG - FG / 7.46

1061-1031 = 30/7.46 = 4%

I would be more concerned with having such a high final gravity.

I would certainly agree even with lactose added though dependent on yeast and fermentation temperature.
