Just checked my Brupaks Kirkburton Ale ( 7.5 % )
Bottled in 500ml Pet bottles on January 29th 2010.
Clearing out nicely but by heck the bottles have gone tight !!
I don't really want to let any pressure out.
Any body had a PET bottles explode ??
Think I had better put them out in my shed !!!!!

Pet carbonated drinks bottles are good for 100psi before they burst but by that point they are swollen and misshaped and won't stand up.
You'll be alright

Phew 100psi !!!! Are you sure ??
Can I send SWMBO round to your house to give you a good slapping ( ) if things start to blow then ???

You never watched Mythbusters!!! They pumped several up to bursting to find the average burst pressure think some went to 120psi but they averaged it to 100psi then they made 50 pop bottle rockets all attached to each other and fired an dumby over a harbour wall, they got alot of thrust but no tragectory and did flips
