Now myself and Mrs Snail have just been watching a re run of an old NCIS. Who should make an appearance but BURT Abbeys FARTING HIPPO. So she wants one doesn't she. First port of call is EBay and yes there it is the official NCIS FARTING HIPPO $96 blimey says I. So I do a google search and find the official CBS shop and yes there it is from the official supplier for $45 yes that's $45 from the official merchandisers on line shop less than half of what some monkey is asking on EBay. I have been checking EBay against official suppliers ever since I got caught with a DVD box set of Monty Python. Bought it from a seller on EBay and it arrived direct from Amazon. He was selling them on EBay then ordering them from Amazon cheaper and getting them shipped direct to his customers. Fair play to the guy and more fool me for expecting EBay to be cheaper. So be warned folks always check and don't believe Ebay is always cheap.

Agree 100% Snail..

....the cost of some of the brewing stuff is :nono: only the other week an old baby burco went from over 200 smackers....I had one of the boilers from Aldi back in the spring ..payed about £35 or so......3 weeks later one on ebay still in the box went for over a £100 quid.....crazy.

Word of warning, dont put "NCIS FARTING HIPPO" into Google Images with your kids around unless you want to have the 'facts of life' conversation with them...

I think you will find you should NOT put any search term into GOOGLE IMAGES with children present

And don't do a search on Victorian maids to help with Homework

Just had a similar experience. I have just spent the best part of 2 months online researching and sussing out items and places etc for when the Mrs went over to UK.
Wrote out shopping list etc ordered stuff online where i knew she would bugger it up etc.

I found some meat thermometers online at barnitts in York only 2,99 on their online site so told the Mrs to pop in an get me two. She went to ask for them and shop assistant says - oh they are only that price online as we make up the difference with the postage :hmm:
So conned her into getting a totally different more expensive one. So i emailed them asking if said items were indeed on sale in store. The reply i got was yes they are for sale in store.
SO - - just got back to the mrs - barnitts are now saying they are only that price online and gave her a quid refund!!!
I have just sent them another email telling them they are bang out of order and it constitutes a con and a ripp off and i will be contacting trading standards!
I wonder if they will reply!

I really do hate being ripped off!! thats one of the reasons i left the damn country in the first place!.

Rant over
Scream.
