Sounds like its the thermal cut out rather than the fuse that you're talking about. The fuse went on mine, which meant there was no power whatsoever. Prior to this it cut out a little at the end of my previous brew.
I got some good advice on the other forum that suggested swapping the fuse for a higher rated one and upgrading the thermal cut out too.
I replaced the fuse with a 184c (standard is 144c) yesterday and no problems! Next step may be to swap the thermostat switch/cut out to one of these...
