So the tap on the 30l brewpak mash tun is rubbish. You can’t connect it to any tubing so getting wort into boiler without splashing is nearly impossible.

I want to replace it. Has anyone done this? What can I replace with?
I want to be able to attach tubing ideally.

Hi!
I have no experience of this product; however, looking at the photos online I would try removing the tap and replacing it with a full-bore ball valve.
The alternative would be some wide-bore hose and a hose clamp to fix it to the tap outlet.

You may need either tank connector or a bulkhead fitting. Because your mash tun has thick walls it's likely the bulkhead fitting is most appropriate. Without knowing what diameter thread your existing fitting is, I couldn't suggest a particular part.

If it helps, I recently replaced an equally useless tap on my Peco boiler. Used a 15mm tank connector (good for thin walled vessels) and 15mm ball valve with short length of P-EX tubing. It works a treat. Ball valve gives plenty flow and very adjustable.

Thanks. Aperture is 35mm externally and 25mm internally. See photos of box plus (useless) tap

Interestingly, I have just ordered one of those as the tap on our FV has a tiny crack. When it arrives I can see whether the thread is long enough....
